“Don’t Make Dinner Make Reservations”

This fund raiser will have three phases as follows:

Phase One
  • Over the next several week, we are asking each member of our club to either give or get at least one to two gift cards with at least $50 or more in value.  We will take as many gift cards as possible.
  • The more gift cards we receive the more baskets we will be able to make and raffle off. The more gift cards, the more money we will be able to raise for our club projects.
  • We would like to have most of the gift cards collected by our August 19 meeting.
  • Attached are a donation request letter and a donation form to use for tax purposes.
Phase Two
  • Depending on how many gift cards we have, we will make several gift baskets to raffle off on Oct 9th.  We are hoping each basket will have $500 worth of gift cards.
  • We will start selling tickets beginning August 26 at our club meeting.  Ticket prices are as follows:
    • $20 for 1 ticket
    • $100 for 6 tickets

  • Each member will receive a brown envelope with 20 red tickets to sell.
  • Please bring your brown envelope back with you each week with the cash for tickets you have sold that week. I will exchange your cash for more red tickets to sell.
  • You may sell the tickets to anyone including Rotarians, non-Rotarians and anyone else that has money. We will take checks, but no credit cards.  They don’t have to be present to win. Just have them write their name and phone number on the back of their tickets.
Phase Three
On October 9 we will have dinner at 6 p.m. at Mimi’s Cafe in Northridge and draw the winning tickets.  Please invite friends, spouses and prospective Rotarians.  It will be a fun evening with everyone winning a prize.

Remember!!! The more gift cards we receive, the more tickets we sell, the more money we have for our club projects.

Proceeds will benefit local Rotary projects. including:
  • Fleet Street Bike Repair Program for the Pacific Boy’s Lodge
  • RotaCare Canoga Park Free Health Clinic
  • Thanksgiving Baskets for Elementary Students
  • Holiday dinner and presents to needy families at the Valley Women’s Center
