I couldn’t be prouder of all that we’ve accomplished together! From installing Buddy Benches to hosting Bingo with seniors, to having 30 members attend the District Breakfast, our club continues to shine with energy, compassion, and service.
It’s been truly thrilling for me to see how each of you has stepped into this Rotary year with so much heart and dedication. A
special congratulations to our Peace Committee, thanks to their efforts, the Rotary Club of Woodland Hills is now officially recognized as a Rotary Action Group for Peace (RAGFP) Peacebuilder Club! Huge kudos to Natasha and Penny for leading the way and making this happen. Please help to donate to the Peace event "Spirit of Giving".
And in fun club news—our very own Gladys has finally made it home, only to be greeted by a flock of Halloween Flamingos! Looks like those flamingos really do get around!
Let’s keep this momentum (and fun spirit) going—there’s so much more good we can do together!
The Rotary Action Group for Peace (RAGFP) is an independent and international group recognized by Rotary International, focused on empowering peace-building work by Rotarians, Rotary Clubs, and Districts globally.
A Buddy Bench was placed at the West Valley Boys & Girls Club. A Buddy Bench is a special bench where children can sit if they’re feeling lonely or don’t have someone to play with. When a child sits on the Buddy Bench, it’s a signal to others that they’d like someone to talk to or play with.
The club dropped off donated supplies and kids stuff for our hero families at Camp Pendleton. The enlisted Marines and their families are very important to Rotarians. About 160 babies are born monthly on the base. There is a constant need for baby items, such as pampers.
Past presidents Lois Koch (l) and Shelley Stark attended a fundraiser for the L.A. Mission and Hope the Mission. The club has a track record of preparing meals for families who live at the Mission.
The club was on display at 19th Annual Food and Wine Event sponsored by West Valley Warner Center Chamber of Commerce. It was a night of jazz, local tastes of food and wine.

It's not too late to join us for Rotary's Fight Against Polio: Global Progress and Updates from Pakistan 13 November 2025 | 12:00 Chicago time (UTC-6) Click here to Register Live on Zoom Polio remains endemic in only two countries, Afghanistan and Pakistan. However, recent outbreaks in previously polio-free areas and detections of poliovirus in sewage across several European countries demonstrate that polio remains a threat to children everywhere. Fragile health systems and competing priorities continue to challenge eradication efforts, but Rotary and the Gates Foundation have renewed our long-standing partnership to fight polio with a joint commitment of US$450 million. Rotary leaders also recently visited Pakistan and met with government officials, who reaffirmed their commitment to eradication. Join us to hear the latest updates and learn how your support is helping make progress toward a polio-free world.
