As the holiday season approaches, our hearts swell with gratitude for the great fellowship and sense of accomplishment of our club. This year, let's extend our Rotary spirit by gearing up to uplift the less fortunate in our community. We have many initiatives in the works, including decorating cookies for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Los Angeles on December 2nd at 1:30 – (Contact Paulinda to sign up) and our “adoption” of the OneGeneration Senior Center. Our Adoption Party is on December 8th – (contact Sandy Rosenholtz to help out}. Together, we can make a meaningful impact through acts of kindness, generosity, and service. Let's be a beacon of hope, spreading joy and making a difference in

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined in the fun – our venue was buzzing, and the night was filled with laughter, Texas Hold'em, Casino Games, an amazing Silent Auction and delicious bites from Stonefire Grill.

The Pot-Luck Holiday Party is on Saturday December 16. The sign-up sheet for the Potluck is below. Just fill in what kind of appetizer, salad,hors d’oeuvres, or dessert you would like to bring if any. Your Pot-Luck dish should feed no more than 12-15 people. The festivities will begin at 5:30 PM at Shelley Stark’s home. Remember to bring a wrapped gift ($25 minimum value) for our Fabulously Fun Secret Santa White Elephant Gift Exchange. The club and Pepperdine University students volunteered at All About My Family's Business to serve a Thanksgiving dinner. The organization's mission is to serve unhoused neighbors so they have a seat at the table and a voice in the conversation on homelessness. Click on the photo to see a video.

Judy is from Santa Monica rotary club. She was also one of the event's sponsors. "The Foundation celebration was beautiful. There was the peace message and release of doves, Ukrainian dancers, and a beautiful location at the Marriott in Marina del Rey. Funds were raised and inspirational messages were shared to remind us all why we're in Rotary," said Anna.
Two second grade school classes at the Wise School wrote thankful notes to hero soldiers this past month. That idea has generated great community supports with the kids writing and drawing notes. The Rotary Club of Woodland Hills partnered with schools and other non-profits to provide Thanksgiving cards for seniors, and unhoused or sheltered people all over the valley. Thank you to all the kids who did the great work. About 1,400 cards will be delivered to ONEgeneration seniors, Fairwinds Senior Living, Michael’s Meals, Hope the Mission Tiny Homes, Brandman Center for Seniors, SFV Rescue Mission, and Khalsa Care Foundation in Pacoima.
