President's Message
Fellow Rotarians,

WE ARE AMAZING

We made blankets. We packed 100,000+ meals. We provided turkeys for those who needed them. We served almost 2,000 T-Day dinners. We delivered 400+ throw blankets. We helped kids with Down syndrome. We fed and entertained the Rescue Mission's residents. We delivered checks all over the world. We delivered 4,000 Cardz for Kidz for Thanksgiving. We had loads of fun at the District Foundation Gala at SOFI. We partnered with Granada Hills, Van Nuys, and Calabasas Rotary Clubs on projects. We prepped meals for over 2,000 Hope of the Mission residents. We engaged with 10 different companies for fundraising. We bought bikes for kids for Christmas. We had spooky fun at Halloween. We raised $20,000+ from our successful Poker Event so we can do more in 2025.

We made a difference in our community.
We live Service Above Self.
We provide H.O.P.E. to the world.
We Are Thankful.

Service Above Self

Angel City Celebration
Join us for a magical holiday experience at the Angel City Celebration 2024 on December 7 from 10 AM to 3 PM, at Earvin "Magic" Johnson Park in Los Angeles! This festive event, organized by the Rotary Club of Los Angeles 5 and CRSSLA, will spread the joy of the season to South Los Angeles youth and families. Wreaths and Gingerbread Houses
Rotary District 5280, in partnership with Hope the Mission's The Woodlands transitional housing facility, will be hosting a heartwarming holiday craft program. This community service event will bring joy and create lasting memories for 100 families (approximately 300-400 individuals) currently residing at the facility. Volunteers are needed to help the families in creating their own holiday decorations through guided wreath-making and gingerbread house decorating sessions. We will provide a much-needed sense of normalcy and celebration during their housing transition.
